Bronze lotus throne for figure of the seated Buddha Sakyamuni, the historical Buddha. The throne has a disc resting on a lotus flower with four tiers of lotus petals, the bottom tier of recurved petals. It symbolises the divine birth and purity of the divine being that it supports.
