Headdress of cassowary feathers secured together in a row by a rafting technique of knots in bark fibre string. Between the two rows of knots a short length of the quills is painted with a white chalky paint and the knots themselves are painted red. On the outer sides of the headdress two white feathers have been inserted into the raft.
