Composite spear of two pieces. Shaft is an un straightened soft wood heavily scored longtitudinally in an irregular manner and socketted at butt for use with spear thrower. Head is hard wood serrated on one side with eight barbs; head and shaft are joined by overlapping heavily bound cordage winding and spinifex gum.
It is possible that this is (very) faintly marked with the numbers, 99 or 92 102 mm below head.
