Wine cup with curved sides, flared rim, low foot ring and concave base. Painted with 'famille rose' enamel and gilding over clear glaze. The exterior is painted with a domestic scene with four standing female figures and a child pointing to a seated gentleman, who is holding a stringed instrument, a 'qin', on his lap. Around the interior rim is a band of fleur-de-lis border.
