lidded incense burner

Cast bronze incense burner with lid, in the form of an archaic 'ding' (tripod) supported on three legs issuing from 'taotie' masks, the cylindrical body is divided into three segements by three vertical flanges, each segment is decorated with two confronting stylised 'gui' dragons on 'leiwen' (thunder pattern) background, along the neck is a band of floral scrolls, around the rim set with two upright loop handles. The hemspherical lid with floral openwork decoration is mounted on top with a lion knob.
