censer; lid

Porcelain lidded censer with turquoise glaze and gold decoration, moulded in the form of an ancient bronze tripod, ding, with bulbous body, short neck and flanged rim. It stands on three animal feet issuing from taotie masks. Two ruyi-sceptre shaped strap handles attached to the body and rim. The censer is decorated with two raised dragons chasing a flaming pearl on rounded body, floral petals below neck and key-fret pattern along flanged rim. The hemispherical lid with lion knob has perforated ruyi and leaves decoration.
