photographic plates

A silver gelatin glass plate negative depicting a gathering of people, possibly in Victoria Street, London. The crowd have their backs to the camera and are looking towards a parade in the centre, possibly a funeral. Sailors and horses can be seen amongst this. They are in formal dress, many wearing straw boaters. Various flags hang above the street. Some shop signs can be seen, including a Lyons corner house, L.C Smith &sons, John Wright and Swain & Co mortgage brokers.
