A silver gelatin glass plate negative depicting a gathering of people. Taken in Victoria Street at the junction of Watling Street, London, outside number 35, The Linde British Refrigeration Company. The crowd have their backs to the camera and are looking towards a parade in the centre, possibly a funeral. (Likely given the close proximity to St. Paul's Cathedral.) Sailors can be seen amongst this. They are in formal dress, many wearing straw boaters. Various flags hang above the street. A shop sign for Anderson, Anderson & Anderson Ltd can be seen, R.J. Dicks Original Balata belting, as well as Sweeting's fish restaurant, which opened in 1889.
