Round copper coin of ten cash, minted in Hubei province in the 'yis' year, 1905, of the Guangxu reign period, 1875-1908, of the Qing dynasty. On the obverse, there is a six-petalled flower at the centre, surrounded by four Chinese characters 'Guangxu yuanbao' meaning 'Guangxu coin' within a beaded circle. On the upper half of the outer circle there is a Chinese inscription reading 'Jiangnan sheng zao' meaning made in the region of the Jiangnan. In the middle there are two Chinese characters, 'yisi' denoting the year of production,1905, and at the bottom is the phrase '10 Cash' in Chinese. On the reverse there is a curling, front-facing dragon with a flaming pearl at the centre, surrounded by 'Kiang-Nan' in English above, 'Ten Cash' in English at the bottom and Manchu inscriptions in the middle.
