A lion's face in coarse red pottery, probably a boss or handle placed at the side or shoulder of a vessel. It has erect ears, deeply incised eyes and eyebrows, a wide grinning mouth and the whole is surrounded by a circle of punched dots.

Marked on the reverse in black ink with 'SB' (probably Sari Bahlol, Mardan District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan). Early centuries CE.
