Circular stone vessel, possibly opium equipment, with Chinese characters inscribed anticlockwise round the central opening, and reading: “越東○梁氏作, yuè dōng ○ liáng shì zuò”, literally meaning that the container was made by Mr. Liang in a place called “越東 yuè dōng”. The small characters “壬申, rén shēn” in a vertical column refer to one of the lunar year names in Chinese Era , which could refer to the year 1812, 1872, or 1932. There is tiny hole in centre of base opposite neck opening. Tiny label attached with hand-written 'Bdd 18'.
