A box with a detachable lid carved from sandalwood with ivory, ebony, white metal and coloured mosaic inlay. The base of the box has four carved ivory feet, two of which are missing. The sides have borders of ebony, ivory and dots of white metal, with raised, carved panels with a leaf and bird design. The lid is rectangular with a panel of raised design of leaves and animals, possibly dogs, carved of sandalwood. Around the panel and the edges of the wood is ebony, ivory, white metal and green and brown mosaic forming geometric patterns.
