Turned wooden dish with a domed pedestal base and a wider band half way up the stand. The dish is lacquered in red and black horizontal bands, the width of each following the shape of the dish, with engraved patterns in the black bands. The shoulder of the pedestal base has a painted golden abstract pattern over the red lacquer. There is a label attached to the base of the dish.
