Metal box, probably of iron, in the shape of a head, originally painted in red and black lac, much worn away. The features of the face such as eyes and mouth are indicated in linear form, and suggestive of Rajasthan. The head makes up the entirety of the box, with the face acting as a lid, attached to the base by a hinge at the chin. The lower part of the box has two handles in the form of ears, one on each side of the box.
