Turned wooden box with a detachable lid containing two small cups. The box is of lac turnery, with initial bands of red and black lacquer decoration applied on the lathe. Further decoration includes a vine and leaf motif with inlaid white metal. The bottom band has rosette motifs. The floral and circular motifs are only on one side of the object. The inside of the casket is lacquered in green. The lid is a short cylinder with a shell handle at the centre, the inside lacquered in red. The cups have deep bowls with gently sloping sides and slightly everted rims and pedestal bases. One cup is red with a black band around the bowl that has a zigzag pattern. The other cup is red with a black band with a triangle and floral motif in pink and blue.
