Long, rectangular, cream-coloured barkcloth decorated with brown and black stencilled and painted patterns. The shorter sides of the textile have been cut to create a dentate edge. The longer sides have been cut (after decorating) to create fine striped fringing. The decoration consists of a centre panel surrounded by 6 borders. The majority of stencilled pattern are black on cream or cream on black. They include: rectangles created by short section of 2 different patterns, star motifs, zigzags, and diamond motifs. A frame (on the panel) and 2 borders have been painted in brown.
