A small rectangular cotton bag sewn together along the selvedges of two rectangles with a cream background patterned in purple and green. The main panel is decorated with red and green birds' eye twill on a cream background. Fairly central on one side is a cream rectangle containing a woven inscription in violet. This field is framed by a yellow rectangular border. On the outside is a looped purple and black border with a curl in each corner. This part is backed on the inside of the bag with a piece of printed cotton. Along the base of the bag is a narrow cream-coloured band. Near the opening at the top are three bands of floral motifs in the same colours as the rest of the bag. The rim at the top and bottom of the bag is marked by a line of violet stitches. The cream coloured warp has been knotted to close the base. The plied ends create integral fringing. At the top the circular warp has also been plied. The resulting strings have been gathered at the centre, and surrounded by purple threads to create a handle.
