tea caddy

The lid of a wooden black lacquered cylindrical tea caddy. It has four ridges running around the outside and it is coated in silver metallic paint on the inside. It is finely painted on the top, depicting a seated man playing a stringed folk instrument, to his left a woman dances with her left hand on her hip and the right hand in the air, holding a scarf. To her left, a dancing man is stood on one leg and holding a hat on his right hand. Each of the figures has at last one garment painted in a vivid red paint. Areas of the paint is chipping away.
