Taxidermy case of four adult males, two immature males and one adult female Black Redstart. According to Edward Hart, writing on 18 April 1927, 'Top left (no 1): adult male, April 14th 1884, winter plumage; middle left (no 2): adult male, March 29th 1884, winter plumage; bottom left (no 3): immature male, September 13th 1881; middle bottom (no 4): adult male, November 4th 1875, winter plumage; middle top (no.5): adult female, October 22nd 1881, winter plumage; bottom right (no.6): immature male: September 1889; middle right (no 7): adult male, January 22nd 1885, winter plumage. All shot by E. Hart either at Creedy Gardens or Dudmoor, Christchurch. Sexes differ; male: summer and winter plumage differ, female: summer and winter plumage the same. Mounted by me'.
