Taxidermy case of adult male, variety male and adult female Fieldfare (variety male missing). According to Edward Hart, writing on 6 April 1927, 'Top left (no 1): adult male, January 25th 1881; right (no 2) adult female, March 12th 1886; bottom left (no 3): variety male, March 12th 1886. All three shot by me at Portfields, Christchurch. Sexes differ. Only appears in England in winter as passage migrant. Summer and winter plumage differ. Mounted by me'.
