Taxidermy case of two adult male and one adult female Bar-tailed Godwit. According to Edward Hart, writing on 5 May 1927, 'Left (no 1): adult male, January 1879, winter plumage; middle (no 2): adult female, January 1879, winter plumage; right (no 3): adult male, September 1879, winter plumage. Shot by me in Christchurch Harbour. Sexes differ in summer plumage, alike in winter plumage. Summer and winter plumage differ. Mounted by me'.
