Taxidermy case of adult male and adult female Grey Plover. According to Edward Hart, writing on 3 May 1927, 'Left (no 1): adult female, September 4th 1875, change of plumage; right (no 2): adult male, October 8th 1892, nearly full summer plumage. Shot by me in Christchurch Harbour. Sexes differ in summer plumage, alike in winter plumage. Summer and winter plumage differ. Mounted by me'.
