Taxidermy case of two adult male and one adult female Ferruginous Duck. According to Edward Hart, writing on 21 April 1927, 'Left (no 1): adult female, February 1861; middle (no 2): adult male, January 1879; right (no.3): adult male, February 1861. Nos 1 and 3 were shot by J. Preston on the Stour River, Christchurch. No 2 was shot by Mr Orchard on the Wareham River, Hants and presented to me by Mr T. M. Pike. Sexes differ, summer and winter plumage, male the same, female differ. Mounted by me'.
