Highland pipe (great Highland bagpipe). The bag with tartan cover.

Today, the Great Highland bagpipe is played all over the world, transmitted by pipers in the British Army. It has a conical chanter on which the melody is played, with a bass and two tenor drones. Usually played out of doors, the precursors to the Great Highland bagpipe were associated with military music since the 16th century or earlier. It was the duty of the piper to play the soldiers into battle, and to continue during the fighting.
