Anglo-German system. Serial number 100655. Oval paper label: 'J. Hinton, maker and repairer, 25 Smithfield St, Birmingham.' 6.25" diameter flat rosewood ends, fully fretted, bevelled with red leather backing. 31 keys: 15 each side + 1 air. Flat bone. Later black leather straps stamped 'Wheatstone' in silver, brass screws. Hand bar with Lachenal trademark. Six-fold black leather bellows with gold star papers.
