412.132-62 Sets of free reeds with flexible air reservoir

Accordeon or Seraphine. No serial number. Wheatstone 1830-35. Square pink paper label under left-hand air vent: 'Wheatstone, 20 Conduit St, Regent St.' 13.19" x 3.63" diameter solid walnut slide in action board, walnut veneered sides, on left-hand three of four domed bone feet remain, though both embouchure mountings are absent. Left-hand has a simple hinged internal air flap, with Wheatstone label, controlled via two round holes in end board. The right-hand has 21 ivory-clad keys in two rows (many absent) with ebony levers and oval bone pallets, also four brass pallets controlled by brass slides, two at each end of hand bar, with two brass position marker pins on edge of keyboard. Fabric thumb loop on small brass bar. Three-fold pink leather bellows, embossed cream papers, two ebony touch pieces on side of bellows. Slim rectangular reed beds, numbered 1-21, with a nickel tongue each side secured by one rivet and one screw, single bass reed and 4 tongue plates for chord reeds.
