Oval paper label: 'Lachenal & Co, Patent concertina manufacturer, London.' 11.69" long x 9.69" AF [across front?], thick rosewood ends, wimple frets, bevelled. 29 keys: 14 left-hand and 15 right-hand, tall ivory with black accidentals. Stamped and bushed. Black leather straps with brass screws. Six-fold black leather bellows with two pairs of valve holes in front lower frame, and single valve hole in right-hand rear lower frame. Large square end brass reeds, frames with double riveted brass tongues, all screwed onto individual wood chambers on underside of action, some reeds stamped: 'A Lejeune, Pairs', and some are loaded.
