Bass concertina. English system, single action. No serial number, internal number : 'L'. Label absent, possibly an early H Crabb instrument from the workshop of Tommy Williams, showing his modifications to the action. 10.25" long x 8.31" AF [across front?], flat matt ebony ends, simple frets, bevelled. 56 keys: 28 each side, domed nickel, some on ivory cores, 13 on right-hand are missing, bushed. Black leather straps secured by etched and monogrammed gilt screws. Eight-fold black leather bellows with oval and circular valve holes on front and rear lower frames. Squared brass beds screwed to under-action, with double riveted steel tongues.
