312.121-71 Heterochord tube zithers sounded by bowing with a bow

Bowed heterochord tube zither. The body consists of a tube of wood closed at each end. A single string of horsehair is anchored in the base, carried over a bridge and a nut and through an opening to a peg. The peg has a four-pointed head and is split at the small end. A line of five small, variously shaped opening under the string. The whole lacquered light brown and decorated with foliage in green.
