Ceramic ocarina (Italian - 'little goose'), made by the inventor of the instrument in this form. Giuseppe Donati (1836-1925), produced ocarinas in Budrio from 1853 to 1878 (see David Liggins 'The Ocarina: a Pictorial History' [Kettering: Ocarina Workshop, 2003, pp. 10-11).

The ocarina was invented Giuseppe Donati around 1860. The instrument was an immediate success, and an ocarina industry soon developed in Donati's home town of Budrio, with other makers keen to capitalise on the instrument's popularity. This example was made by Donati around a decade after he had invented the instrument.
