Entada seed pod. Found on East Coast of Africa and similar regions. One of the largest forms of seed pods in the world.
Entada pods are the seed pods of an African tree. They have the biggest seed pods in the world. The seeds themselves are quite large, round and flat and are hollow inside. This enables them to float. They stay fertile for up to 2 years and have been known to float from Africa to as far as UK estuaries. They are a great example of seed dispersal by water or seed pods.
