Carved wooden figure of the crowned Buddha or Maitreya seated on triangular lotus throne, overall covered with gilt. From either side of the crown above the ears and extending down the shoulders are feather-like ribbons. The ushnisha is bud-shaped. The face is narrow and the nose quite pointed, the forehead high. It looks like the figure has been cut from the base at some point, then put back together. There is material loss at this point, including the tips of his fingers on his right hand.
