An article describing the reopening of the museum. In a similar fashion to previous entries, the article mentions that the museum was reopened by Sir Somers Vine with various additions being made to the collection, as well as informing the readers of the newspaper that the museum is open with free entry on two days per week. The author mentions that a new catalogue has been issued to visitors upon entry as well as the fact that 130,000 visitors have been received by the museum. Much of the content is similar to that of 096, particularly the descriptions of the Chinese and Japanese Rooms as well as the mentioning of the “small porcelain figures of gods and goddesses…” and the animals which are now contained by glass “Rocky mountains and sheep…” The article continues with similar descriptions of the museum’s collection to previous ARC/HMG/PR/004/001 catalogue entries. The article ends with by nothing the totals of the visitors on Boxing Day (2225) and Wednesday (1372) as well as the total since the opening on Christmas Eve 1890 (123,372).
