One short newspaper announcement that the 6th of July, the marriage day of the Duke of York, was going to be celebrated as a public holiday at the Horniman Museum. Therefore, the exhibition rooms and all the grounds were going to be open free to the public. In the evening, the grounds were going to be illuminated.
