One newspaper article about new additions made to the Horniman Museum’s collections, unknown to the public who visited the Museum only once (around its initial opening). For instance, there is a new screen with inlaid Japanese panels in the reception room; a collection of crucifixes, rosaries and keys in the Elizabethan bedroom; a new wall case with figures and miniature gods in the Egyptian room, etc. One of the most interesting new additions is a North American Indian Chief’s dress, taken from the camp of Big Bear when members of the tribe were captured by Canadian troops in 1885.
