Caption reads ‘ Under the influence of Malay opera, the original brasok-palm Jegog costumes were being replaced by shorts and stockings for the girls, and trousers, coats, ties, black glasses, and boots for the boys.’ However, this image is part of a sequence whjich is probably baris memedi and definitely not jegog.
