Wooden bludgeon with a wooden ball head attached by means of leather-covered rope. Straight grip is ringed, and ball head is ringed at each end. Further decorative turned rings in the middle of the shaft. Unpainted. Accompanied by old exhibition label with black type on pale blue card reading: 'LIFE PRESERVER USED BY GAMEKEEPER NEAR GRIMSBY'.
