mask (dance & live theatre)

Carved wooden mask depicting an anthropomorphic or zoomorphic face, with two eyeholes and nostril holes. The mask has a hinged lower jaw with wooden pegs forming the teeth, and is attached with vegetable fibre cord. It is decorated overall with red pigment with blue, black,and white detailing. There are perforations around the top of the head, with the remains of feather decoration.
