Netsuke in the form of a wooden study of Hotei and a follower. He is holding a big fan in his right hand, and is wearing a cape and exposing his large stomach. His squat follower, wearing a straw hat, has his left hand on Hotei's left sleeve, his right hand on Hotei's back. Hotei is one of the seven gods of good fortune.
