Ceremonial fan made of ivory, metal, and textile. The turned ivory handle has carved decoration where it divides into two to form a slot, into which the leaf sits. The leaf is formed of a circle of basketry covered with red felted cloth, decorated with an embroidered straight-lined design of vegetal forms. The whole is set into a metal ring border. There is circular, decorative openwork metal reinforcement at the centre of each side, and the two pieces are secured to each other with a rivet in rosette form.
