Polearm, 'yan yue dao', which translates as 'reclining moon sabre'; also known as 'guan dao'. Single-edged steel blade with two barbs and four spiky projections on upper back. Originally inlaid with seven circular brass designs on both sides, the so-called seven stars, qi xing, motif, of which four are now missing on each side. Rectangular tang inserted into a long wooden shaft with three brass rings mounted on upper pole.
Possibly for martial arts practice.
