Iron ewer decorated with gold overlay. Globular body with short straight neck. On a low circular stand. Domed hinged lid, with a bud-shaped finial, attached to top of S shaped handle terminating in spirals at each end. Curved spout with moulded flange with cuspid element below close to the end is attached to the body with screws. Allover decoration in silver-coloured and gold floral motifs arranged within cuspid arches in the main band. Narrow bands of inscription in Arabic script, one at the lower part of neck and one close to the top of the lid. Band of silver overlaid decoration in geometric forms on the inner surface of the neck.
