clubs (weapons: bludgeon); club sheath

Pair of bronze clubs, each with a brass mounted wooden grip, brass square-shaped pommel and guard. The shaft of each is diamond-shaped in cross-section, tapering to a blunt tip. They are decorated with carved floral sprays bordered by meander on grip, incised linear decoration on the guard and near the tip. The sheath for the clubs is made of leather with a red lacquer coating, and is in the shape of a figure of eight in cross-section.
