Ceremonial 'sword', reputed to have been carried by bishops, covered in cloth. The cloth cover is gathered at the hilt and stitched to completely enclose the sword. The outer surface is decorated on both sides with bands of designs in felt appliqué. Four wide bands in various colours with smaller elements, mostly in floral designs, one possibly representing the Christian cross, are divided by narrower bands of V shapes, also in a variety of colours. The area around the hilt is of a complex weave in beige, not covered in felt.
