Headrest, makura, sides in wood with red lacquer with black lacquer top and base. This type is funazoko makura (like a ship's hull), with a curved base so that it rocks, with a trough in the top to take a cylindrical pillow in red. Pillow covered in red silk tied at both ends with tassels with a sleeve in cream cotton with a ruffle at each end. Pillow secured to rest with a cord which passes through holes with metal fittings close to the top of the headrest. Headrest: 91 h x 230 w x 106 d; Pillow: 225 long x 95 dia.
