pipe case

Part of a pipe case of two interfitting tubes, which is oval in cross section and carved from dark wood with a prominent grain. The pipe case is attached to the tobacco pouch with a cord and an ojime between. The ojime is made of pink and white glass, like a marble. A tobacco pouch formed of a rectangular pouch of black, "crocodile" leather, with red suede lining. There is a flap closure with brass clasp with blackpainted detail; motif of an imaginary aquatic animal called 'mizu sai'.
