Operatic headdress made of card, papier-maché, silk, fur and pearls. The main structure has two units, locking together with a tab and loop and made of cardboard or papier-maché covered in white silk. The decoration consists of scrolls and other shapes of papier-maché built up on wire frames and attached to the main structure by wire stitches or fitting into cardboard sockets. This decoration is painted red and gold with heavy lines of white paste or paint. There is further decoration of balls of fur, some with bells inside, rows of pearls and a mosaic of small pieces of silk and paper, the latter green and blue.
