Hard wood club from New Britain, Papua New Guinea. With a tapering shaft which terminates at both ends in a concave conical finial. Above the lower finial is a network of fibre cordage to which are attached numerous shells; possibly Whelk. At the opposite end to the shells, the conical point has chipping damage around the rim.
