Tea set comprising a teapot, a teacup and a tea caddy. Both teapot and teacup are applied with moulded plum blossom decoration on exterior. 1. Red earthenware tea caddy with recessed base, curved sides, broad shoulder and short neck tapered to mouthrim. It is covered with a flat, circular lid, which has chipped rim; decorated with 7 stamped 'shou' (longevity) characters on top surface. A band of flower petals are engraved above the shoulder. This is 4788i. (H 95mm x 95mm Diam.) 2. Red earthenware tea cup with curved sides, stands on a low footring. The exterior is applied with moulded plum blossom decoration. (H 64mm x 79mm Diam.) This is 4788ii. 1. Red earthenware teapot, ovoid in section with slightly recessed base, a lid surmounted with a moulded plum blossom-shaped handle; the body is also applied with moulded plum blossom decoration. Attached to the body are a curved handle and a s-curved spout, both modelled to resemble tree branches. This is 4788iii.
