Small bamboo brush holder in cylindrical form, engraved with plum blossom and ling zhi fungus on the exterior, and also inscribed with archaic bronze script.

Small brush pots with incised archaic bronze script were popular during the late Qing period,1796-1850, when many seal carvers were also involved in bamboo carving. See pages 388-9.
